INCREDIBLE ACCOLADES ABOUT THE FABULOUS FOOD

Dear Dan,

Well, it’s difficult to know where to start. Perhaps, most importantly, a huge, huge thank you to you and all your wonderful staff for all the delicious food you produced for Libby’s wedding last week.

But it’s more than that really. You were a joy to work with from start to finish, despite all the COVID difficulties and uncertainties your smiling face, positive attitude, and professional dedication both during the build-up and planning stages and then on the day itself were so very much appreciated. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for you and your team, which does make life a lot easier from our point of view. We couldn’t have done it, in the way we had envisaged, without you.

We have had so many incredible accolades about the fabulous food you produced – seasoned wedding-goers telling me they had never tasted better beef. And the Sunday was a triumph too. All down to your skills.

You won’t need me to wish you all the luck with your business in the future, I know you will, deservedly, go from strength to strength. But just wanted to say a massive thank you again, Dan, and also particularly to Maddi, who has been so brilliant and helpful too.

COMPLETELY PERFECT IN EVERY WAY

Dear Dan and Maddi,

We are just back from our last-minute honeymoon in Mallorca (where we had a Paella that wasn’t as good as yours Dan, don’t worry!). We are still buzzing from our wedding – it was completely perfect in every way, and hands down the best day of our lives.

We wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you both for playing such a key part in making our day (and whole weekend) so perfect. The food was knock-out! There wasn’t one thing that wasn’t completely delicious. I know you thought I was a bit mad Dan when I emailed you (a very long time ago now!) and said we wanted Lasagna for our wedding meal, but I had a ‘vision’ and you made it a reality for us in the most perfect way. I hope you enjoyed creating it as much as we all enjoyed eating it, and maybe we’ve set a trend and you’ll be putting it on your wedding menus from now on! The whole set-up was also exactly how I had hoped it would be, and looked really stunning with the hessian table runners, rustic napkins and fun green tumblers. The cheese also looked so beautiful!

We had so many compliments about how good the food was – several friends we count as big foodies said it was the best wedding food they’d ever had, and obviously we agree. I know we ended up hugely behind timings on the Saturday (really sorry about that) but you wouldn’t have known we’d messed you around, because everything you brought out was perfectly prepared and cooked. The tiramisu was a highlight for me – I unfortunately was so wrapped up in the emotion of the day I wasn’t hugely hungry so didn’t get through my usual levels of antipasti and Lasagna, but after my speech I helped myself to a big dollop of tiramisu and took a quiet moment to eat it and watch all the buzz around me in the marquee. 100% the best tiramisu I’ve ever had (and trust me I’ve had a lot in my time!).

The BBQ on Friday night and the Paella on Sunday were also totally delicious and so well done

Maddi – you were a total dream to have around – we so enjoyed meeting you, and you made everything run so calmly and smoothly I don’t know how you did it! I couldn’t believe it when you were still there so late on Friday sorting everything out. Your attention to detail was world-class, I hope you know how good you are!

My Dad is quite a hard person to please when it comes to this kind of thing and has very high standards, and you two and the rest of your team completely bowled him over. I don’t know if you heard it, but you even got a shout out in his speech! Please do pass on our thanks to the rest of your team too.

I could go on and on, but will wrap up. We really can’t thank you enough, and will be recommending you to any of our friends looking for a caterer, and if we ever have any events that need catering in the future you’ll be the first people we’ll call.

I hope the rest of the weddings you have this summer go well, and we’ll make sure to pop into the cafe whenever we’re in your neck of the woods.
